Wooden Doors

Doors are pressed, trimmed and finished at the mill rather than bought in and resold, so the range on this page is what the yard actually produces and every design is available to order.

The melamine range is the widest — 2, 3, 5, 6 and 9 panel. The panel count is the look: fewer, larger panels read plainer and more modern, more panels read traditional. MDF comes in 3 and 5 panel, solid cypress in 5 and 6 panel, and there is a plywood flush door where a plain face is wanted. Alongside those sit the two shaped designs, the T-design door and the button door, which carry their own profile rather than a panel grid.

Most of the range is offered in both solid and semi-solid construction. Solid is heavier, takes a knock better and hangs more like a hardwood door. Semi-solid is lighter on the hinges and lighter on the price, and is the usual choice for internal doors where the extra mass is not doing anything. The T-design and button doors are made one way only.
